Some Selected Work
I was the copywriter for the home and gift trade show Shoppe Object, where I wrote all website, social media, and newsletter copy, as well as manuals and educational materials. Here is the brochure from a summer show. Recent editorials include: a set of Mother’s and Father’s Day gift guides, a Shakespearean-inspired round-up, and a shopping list for hobbyists.
I joined Minya Quirk and Deirdre Maloney (from the Shoppe Object team) as a freelance copywriter for their furniture e-commerce start-up Afternoon Light. I meditated on the idea of furniture as identity and wrote a series of object history lessons for Instagram, like this one.
After college, I wrote and edited for bioethicists for a few years and learned an incredible amount. I especially liked diving into the politics of what constitutes a “good birth.”
